I just rely on the security my broadband offers or my phone provider
I suppose there is apps available?
....hope this doesn't make me look like an easy hack!!

I hadn't received any dodgy emails for a little while, then two were waiting for me at work on Monday morning. Same format , how they had a film of me self-abusing to a porn film from their website .....one wanted 350 dollars in bit coins, another 700 dollars in bitcoins.
The latter said they had a film of me " paying (sic) with myself " and not to be "fullish" and give them money.
The novelty is starting to wear off. I have to report them as quite a serious allegation that I have misused work computer and also block their email addresses.
Said emails also threaten to send copies of this film to 'Facebook' contacts. There is a procedure to notify 'Facebook' https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/567360146613371
But they also advise contact your 'local law enforcement agency'.
I will try this out if get any more sent to private email account.

If the spellings anything to go by they don't sound the brightest group of hackers!...or English isn't their first language.
Hope you get a stop put to this.
It shows that the Internet does have security flaws!
I don't use social media anymore as I had a couple of issues with it.
I hope you get a positive outcome

These type of an email are more of an irritation at work as have to report them. Though I can see the funny side, I can imagine that there are people with various health conditions who might be upset by them. The scammers know that if they try hard enough there will be someone who will pay up.

I can't say on here what I'd like to see done to those who con the elderly and disadvantaged

Glad to see this scammer jailed - from BBC News yesterday 9th April 2019.

"A student who made hundreds of thousands of pounds blackmailing pornography website users with cyber attacks has been jailed.Zain Qaiser from Barking, London, used his programming skills to scam visitors to pornography sites around the world.
Investigators have discovered about £700,000 of his profits - but his network may have made more than £4m.
Qaiser, 24, was jailed for more than six years at Kingston Crown Court.
The court heard he is the most prolific cyber criminal to be sentenced in the UK.
Judge Timothy Lamb QC said: "The harm caused by your offending was extensive - so extensive that there does not appear to be a reported case involving anything .......
