I may be in a minority but I find a clothed bottom just as erotic, or even more so than a naked one. I think it seems to depend on whether one is just into caning or one has other fetishes as well.
By that I mean crossdressers obviously like their clothes to me a main part of any caning and I suppose also age regresion people ( i.e. schoolboys etc) as well.
