    i can forgive the lack of capital letters, because there is no automatic capitalisation for posts and replies as there is in most word processing applications, and it's a drag having to go back after typing something to put in all the capitals. is that why e.e.cummins decided not to use them?

    Incidentally, Targetarear refers to the poet E.E.Cummings( he rarely signed his name using small case letters and no punctuation). His poems are written in small case letters without punctuation, because he wanted to disturb people's sensibilities. Most scholars regard it as an act of humility on his part, and certainly not as a preferred style of orthography, that he wished others to emulate!

    thanks for the correction there, sir.
    i still don't see the need for caps in informal writing such as we see on this site. as long as we KNOW the rules, i reckon it's ok to break them in situations such as this.
